Paul Edlin passed away August 16. He had been battling cancer
for 10 years and died at home from an apparent heart attack.
He was 77. Paul was a truly gifted artist and, though recognised
late in life, achieved acclaim for his unique talent for making
collages from tiny fragments of postage stamps. Over the last
ten years he had many solo exhibitions at galleries and his
art was also presented in many museums, culminating with his
2007 solo show at Colgate University’s Longyear Museum. Paul’s
remarkable art was the genesis of this gallery’s creation.
Its mystery, originality and beauty will always serve as a
quiet standard.
