felt-tip pen and ball-point pen on paper Baudoin Fierens
Belgian nationality
Born in Louvain on November 19th, 1975

Baudouin spends time at the atelier of Luc Mondry and Nicole Babilas in La Clairière. His work is marked with figures torn apart, imprisoned. His lines seem continuous. Black shapes haunt his white sheets of paper, traces that confirm the existence of being, but at the same time disclose a breach and emptiness. The signature "BAUDOUIN" is part of the composition. It is tense, torn apart, tortured and written in large letters like an open gap.
